	Main scientific achievements:	Formulation of main principles in study of Cretaceous mollusk fauna (belemnites) complexes in Azerbaijan, including their classification and phylogeny, morpho-functional analysis, development of paleo-biographical zoning, coverage of ecological and paleontological issues; determination of stages in spatial and temporal distribution of Cretaceous invertebrates in the Mediterranean and identification of appropriate paleo-biographical taxons; carrying out of fundamental studies on development of methods of biogeochemical zoning of Cretaceous basins in Caucasus and studies of paleobasins as the factors of evolution; establishing through application of method of isotope paleothermometry of absolute values of paleo-temperatures of Cretaceous basins of Azerbaijan; award of title of Laureate of Azerbaijan Republic together with a group of researches for a series of studies on stratigraphy and Cretaceous sediments.
