Main area of activity of the structural unit:

Collection of materials from arabian, persian, turkish of  XI - the beginning of XX centuries on Azerbaijan territory. Publication of "Azerbaijan epigraphy monuments  corps" in 6 volumes studying -- researching epigraph's problems on social-political, economic history and cultural history of Azerbaijan.

 
Main scientific achievements of the structural unit:

Have published  3 volumes of "Azerbaijan epigraphy monuments corps" Baku- Apsheron (XI - XX cc), II vol. - inscriptions Sheki, Zagatala region (XIV -XX cc), Nakhichevan Autonomy Republic (XII- XX cc) revealed dates a using profiles of some  architectural name of architecture Madjdad - Din and others (1'47 persons), revealed names of founders of art carving school.
