Synthesis of various surfactants, compounds soluble in oils and fuels, their investigation as corrosion inhibitors, additives to fuels, oils, polimeric stabilizers, development of theoretical bases for selecting corrosion inhibitors and aditives. A number of ether aminoalcohols, aminoesters, quartenary ammonium salts, bifunctional hydroxythiophenols and their derivatives, epoxy derivatives of carbonic acids, metal- containing (Ca, Ba) derivatives of alkylphenols have been synthesized for the first time. The dependence of anticorrosion between  effeciency of the copmounds synthesized on their composition and structure has been established. The effectiveness of the compounds mentioned depending on the nature of functional groups and heteroatoms was also suggested. Based on the results of theoretical investigations, laboratory short-term tests; the inhibitors sach as ИКАНАЗ-3, ИКАНАЗ-4, ИКАНАЗ-7, ИКАНАЗ-7+OП-7, smoke suppressant additive ИХП-706 and its modifications, an additive increasing thermooxidation  stability of jet fuels, have been recommended for service tests.

Since 1990 pluralize as a professor of the "Technology of organic compounds and industrial ecology" chair  in Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. Reading lectures to bachelors and masters on special courses "General chemical technology", "Chemistry and technology of lubricant and fuel additives". Two masters have already been trained. He is chief of thesis for master's degree.
