Investigation of the active and adsorptive centers on a surface of natural aluminium silicates, depending on their chemical and mineral composition. Elaboration of the scientific foundations of obtaining the efficient adsorbents on their base for purifying hydrocarbons and industrial gases.

The new adsorbents and catalysts on the base of natural aluminum silicates from deposits in Azerbaijan republic have been synthesized. By means of molecular probes, a nature, force and concentration of active centers on a surface of the adsorbents and catalysts, depending on their composition and a nature of exchange cations have been investigated. The role of these centers in the process of adsorption and catalysis has been established. The new methods of purifying the industrial gases from the various admixtures have been elaborated by prepared adsorbents; the results of laboratory researches have been introduced into the industry. On the basis of proposed methods of drying gaseous chlorine the industrial plant has been built.
