The protection of metals from corrosion by the new multifunctional inhibitors and modifying of the surfaces; development  of non-metallic and metal like protective covers.

The considerable progress is achieved in the field of protection by the inhibitors of plain carbon steel, used in oil-gas extraction and other branches of industry, in aggressive two- phase media from corrosion. As a result of thorough investigations  the external and inner factors influencing on corrosion of steels in two phase systems hydrocarbon-electrolyte were determined and the theoretical foundations of the mentioned process were developed. The mixtures of the inhibitors were worked out, some of which are applied in the enterprises of oil-gas extracting industry of former USSR. The corrosion-electrochemical properties of aluminum and its alloys in the diverse electrolytes and natural waters were examined, and the methods of protecting these alloys from corrosion are proposed. The physicochemical regulations of obtaining metal like carbide covers on carbonaceous steels resisting corrosion and erosion processes were established and corrosion-electrochemical properties of these covers were researched, as well oxidizing aluminum alloys were investigated by low-frequency current impulses.
