Synthesis and study of physicochemical properties of complex glassy and crystalline semi-conductors consisting of rare earth elements (REE) and elements of the III and V groups. |

Main scientific achievements of the structural unit: |
Phase formation regularities in systems consisting of arsenic, tallium and chalcogenides of REE were defined on the obtaining sphere of solid solutions and luminescent, photosensitive and thermoelectric complex semiconductor compounds, which can be used in semiconductor technics and electron industry. Phase diagrams of them has been plotted. The quaternary glassy compounds containing arsenic and tallium are used in infra-red optics and photoelectronics. Photo films, obtained on their base by means of IR-radiation give photo imprint in the darkness. Under plating chemical bond the decrease of the region of glass formation and regular change of a number of physical parameters were observed. The scientific bases of obtaining technology of monocrystals of complex chalcogenides glassy and crystalline materials have been created. |
