Investigation and development of chemistry and technology of complex processing and rational use of the diverse forms of iron and titanium containing ores of the republic and wastes of production with obtaining metallized pellets and iron powders for steel-smelting production and powder metallurgy and passing extraction of the other valuable raw components.

Processes of deep and complex enrichment of Dashkesan iron ores, pelletizing magnetic super concentrates and their direct reduction by natural gas with obtaining metallized pellets and iron powders; complex processing coastal, shelf, skattered and intrusive titanium magnetites with obtaining alongside with iron powder "an artificial rutile", chromic compounds, γ-Al₂O₃ V₂O₅ of higher purity and regeneration of applied reagents, as well rational usage of industrial wastes have been studied and developed. The conception of development of ferrous metallurgy of Azerbaijan has been worked out and affirmed by the government. On the basis of the results obtained on all the stages of rational processing ore and tests on an industrial scale, jointly with German metallurgical concern "Ferrostaal" the project of the complex for production of 1 mln. tons of steel from local raw has been suggested.
