Ali-zadeh A.N. is the expert in the Mechanics of Deformable Solids. He introduced a number of variational principles for calculating nonlinear-viscoelastic bodies contacting with environment. For these principles geometrical nonlinearity, inertial forces, peculiarities of environment and corrosion were considered. The suggested variational principles were used for solving the problems taking damage accumulation into account. These problems were applied for calculating thin-walled constructions. For this case Ali-zadeh A.N. summarized S.P.Timoshenko's model. Besides, Ali-zadeh A.N. solved a number of problems of corrosion cracking taking damage accumulation into consideration.
