| Main scientific achievements: | Studied the inscriptions on historic territory of Azerbaijan from Derbend to Iravan and Borchala, was engaged with systematic collection, deciphering and publication science 1947 and proved that epigraphic monuments were the exact and sometimes the only source to help resolve problems of history, fine art studies, architecture, toponomy, etc, this making a significant contribution in development of Azeri historiography. Epigraphic monuments, discovered by M.S.Neymat on historic territory of Azerbaijan help struggle for its territorial integrity. There are numerous bridges, caraxanserais, ribats, hanegahs on the historic territory of Azerbaijan along trade rontes, particularly the silk Road from Azerbaijan to Eastern Anatolia. These inscriptions proxide information about adminstrative division, state system organization, bureaucratic adminstration and feudal lords. Names of titles mentioned in inscriptions from XII-XIV centuries allow to make conelusions about the state system organization. Adminstration system tupical for mongols was not established in the shirvan area. Shirvanshakhs managed to preserve the interior state system organization. Epigraphic materials are very important for historic and philological researches that were not carried out sow far. |
