Main area of activity of the structural unit:

Specifying of agricultural crops and their wild relatives cultivating stability degree to drought, salinity, heat and other factors of a biotic stress in Azerbaijan. Physiological and genetic base of crop stability to unfavorable environmental condition study.

Main scientific achievements of the structural unit:

Stability degree of several crops and wild plants widely-distributed in Azerbaijan to biotic factors of environment has been specitified and it has determined that the plant stability to stresses is connected with the strengthening of separate gene expressions, as well with the positive changes of certain basic physiological processes.
