Collection and research of the accessions of the technical and forage crops i.e. cotton, sugar beet, fodder beet, table beet, leguminous and cereal fodder grasses. Establishment of their gene fund and its maintenance. |

Main scientific achievements of the structural unit: |
The
laboratory has collected 750 cotton varieties and variety accessions of various origins of
G. barbadese species. As well for a short period 50 accessions of sugar beet, fodder beet
and table beet and 5 accessions of leguminous fodder grasses-Lucerne and 2 accessions of
sainfoin and 3 accessions of cereal grasses has been collected. At present the laboratory
has started to research all abovementioned. |
