	Main area of activity of the structural unit:	Ecological conditions of the Caspian Sea is studied in connection with pollution by various toxic ingredients, first of all oil hydrocarbons, harmfully exerting influence on formation of fields of drifting substances.
	Main scientific achievements of the structural unit:	The lists and maps of the sources of pollution concerned to the Caspian Sea have been compiled. At the same time map-schemes of the mast polluted areas were compiled. The resulted of researches found then elucidation in reports and articles.
