The main scientific trend is the development of the scientific foundations of the catalytic refining of heavy oil feedstock for increase of the depth of catalytic cracking light products selection using new activating and passivating additives. For the first time there have been synthesized and studied the new contact catalysts for the heavy oil feedstock refining and it has been established that in the process of oil mazut conversion at the first stage there is providing upgrading of the starting feedstock at the expense of decrease of nitrogen, sulphur, asphaltenic resinous substances and heavy metals in particular vanadium to the standard norms
