Obtaining new noninogenic and ionogenic surfactants, including their novel representatives of oligomeric and polymeric nature, investigation of their physico-chemical properties and study of their applied properties with the purpose of their implementation in petroleum production

There has been obtained and studied a whole series of novel oligomeric and polymeric surfactants of polyelectrolyte nature based on (meth) acrylic acid, epoxycompounds (propylene oxide and epychlorohydrin) and various (in) organic bases. There have been revealed their valuable applied properties (petroleum displacing, isolating at drilling oil wells, stabilizing towards drilling muds, bactericide against sulfate-reducing bacteria, water-absorbing). A number of these reagents have found a practical application in oil fields of Azerbaijan. There have been obtained and investigated nonionegenic surfactants on the basis of higher aliphatic alcohols and monobasic carboxylic acids and the above-mentioned epoxides. Their petroleum-collecting and dispersing properties have been studied in detail. Some of these surfactants have been implemented into practice and are currently used by SOCAR for purification of water surface in the Caspian Sea from petroleum pollutants.
