Started the scientific activity with the research of the National liberation movement in Iran and in South Azerbaijan, defended the "Candidate" degree thesis in Moscow is the author of 2 monograph, more than 50 articles in the former USSR, Poland, Turkey, Canada and Iran; took part at the scientific conferences with the reports in Azerbaijan and abroad. One of the main sides of scientific activity is the research of the problem of agrarian relations in Iran. In 1967 completed all scientific achivments on this field and defended the "Doctor" degree thesis in Baku: "Agrarian relations in Iran in the end of XIX and early XX centuries". The main direction of the scientific activity deals with the South Azerbaijan. In Azerbaijan and abroad the author is well-known as a founder of the scientific school of South Azerbaijan studies, as a head and establisher of the South azerbaijan history's department in the Institute of Oriental Studies, National Academy of Sciences in 1976-1991 years; one of main authors, editor-in-chief and scientific editor of two collective books; "The history of South Azerbaijan, 1828-1917" (Baku, 1985); "The Problems of history of South Azerbaijan" (Baku, 1989 and 1991). In 2000 encyclopedical book "South Azerbaijan" has been published in cooperation with A.Bizhe and S.Bayramzadeh. Her present work is the preparation of 3-volumes "South Azerbaijan history". The main conclusions of scientific researches were reflected in the chapters on the history of South Azerbaijan in XIX-XX centuries in the most of the "Azerbaijan history" textbooks for the secondary schools and Universities.
