Main area of activity of the structural unit:

Complex investigation of growth peculiarities of epitaxial films of compounds of solid solutions of n/n type A4B6 on different backings. Receipt of structural-perfect films with specified electrophysical and photoelectrical properties. Creation of photosensitive p-n homo- and heterostructures on their basis and making of photodetectors of the infrared radiation.
Main scientific achievements of the structural unit:

Correlation was established between crystal structure, electrophysical and photoelectrical properties of epitaxial films of n/n type  A4B6 grown on different backing. At united technological regime, for the first time, photosensitive homo-transitions PbS/PbS; PbSe/PbSe; PbTe/PbTe and isoperiodical hetero-transitions Pb1-xSnxTe/PbTe1-ySey; Pb1-xSnxSe/ PbSe1-ySy and photodetectors of the infrared radiation were produced.
