	Main area of activity of the structural unit:	Conduction of energy-intensive oil-chemical processes using nuclear energy and conversion of nuclear energy by universal energy-carrier-hydrogen for utilization; nuclear reactors security and increasing of metals' radiation resistance.
	Main scientific achievements of the structural unit:	Kinetics and mechanism of radiation processes in connection of metals, metal-oxides and metal-oxides systems with different media were studied. The methods to increase their radiation resistance were determined. Regularities of several processes passing in metals under the influence of ionizing radiation were revealed. Radiation-heterogeneous processes were studied in contact with oxide compounds and natural species in hydrocarbon-water system and scientific bases of obtaining energy carriers in these systems were developed. Molecular hydrogen was obtained in H₂O+n C₆H₁₄ system in the presence of γ-Al₂O₃ catalyst. Dependence of light benzene fraction and light-end products' yields on radiation dose absorption was established.
