As a result of research conducted in all water area of the Caspian Sea for 40 years, identified the species composition, distribution patterns, the dependence on the impact of natural and anthropogenic factors, the origin and formation, epizootic and epidemiological importance of the parasites of fishes of the pond. In the field of theoretical ecology conducted years of research on the environmental problems posed by global climate change and environmental education. In the field of Applied Ecology there was years of research on the environmental impact assessment of exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbon deposits in the sea and on land, construction of major pipelines and reconstruction of thermal power plants, also environmental audit.
