Main area of activity of the structural unit: | The main scientific direction of the Laboratory - is the studying of biochemistry of Coccidia (Apicomplexa, Sporozea), biochemical and immunological aspects of the host-parasite relationships and intestinal parasitic protozoa of poultry and domestic animals.

Main scientific achievements of the structural unit: | Protein and aminoacid spectrum, contents of aminoacids in oocysts and cysts of Coccidia (Eimeria, Sarcocystis) were investigated, the features of the metabolism of proteins, aminoacids, components the Krebs cycle and activity of enzymes participating in their metabolism in experimental eimerioses of the fowes and after treatment with anticoccidial drugs were revealed, some biochemical mechanisms of host-parasite relationships were theoretically proved.
