Main area of activity of the structural unit:

Study of main groups of insects and soil invertebrates of the Republic. Development of scientific fundamentals of the struggle measures against pests of orchads, forests, cotton, market-gardens and grains. 

 
Main scientific achievements of the structural unit:

Homoptera, Hemiptera, Orthoptera, Lepidoptera, Coleoptera etc. were studied in detail and obtained results were presented in monographs, books and scientific articles. The struggle measures were offered to the Azerbaijan Agriculture Ministry.
